Must Select 0 or 3 Multiple-Choice Questions Equation was created by loucarey62
Hi All,
I'm trying to set a Question Validation Equation to test that Multiple Choice question has either 0 or 3 choices checked. The question is set to Mandatory=No and I'm using the following equation but, no mater how many choices I select or if I don't select any choices, I get the following message:
"One or more questions have not been answered in a valid manner. You cannot proceed until these answers are valid."
My Question Validation Tip is set to: "You must either select 3 choices or no choices.". Because I'm not seeing that message and because no matter how many choices I select or if I select none, I'm guessing my equation is invalid.
I've attached a PDF printout of the question edit page.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure about the equation. But I think one of your problems is, that you have set a maximum and a minimum number plus the equation. I think for the equation to work properly, you need to take out the minimum and maximum numbers. Because otherwise you have two error message crossing each other.

Thanks Holch for your reply.
In the end, I do believe you're probably right about not setting the Minimum/Maximum values but, even after removing those settings, I'm still getting the same result.

Well, at least we have excluded one possible error. Now you just need to find out if your equation is correct. But there you probably have to wait for Tpartner or some other specialist on those matters.
